Behind Skin Rituals
My journey into skincare started from my research experience in my undergraduate degree of Biological Sciences, focusing on immune system research. I am originally from the Chicagoland area and came to Boston for my nursing degree at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, where I obtained my BSN.
After experience in the OBGYN field, particularly with those undergoing hormonal changes throughout life (menstrual cycles, menopause, hormone shifts as we age, and those undergoing hormonal supplementation), I gained a passion for how hormonal shifts affect our skin. All facials are gender inclusive.
I am passionate about holistic skin health by taking a whole-body perspective when looking at your skin, as your skin is your largest organ and reflective of your hormones. As a facialist, my approach is rooted in the belief that skincare should both be intentional and uncomplicated. I use products that are as gentle on the skin as they are on the environment. Every treatment I offer is designed to support long-term skin health while contributing to a more sustainable and mindful practice.
My priority is preserving barrier health and function, which means I do not use harsh and aggressive actives when treating acneic skin. All active products, including peels, are made with gentle exfoliants proven to reduce blemishes and prevent new ones from forming while also keeping your skin barrier intact.
